The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a European regulation that came into force on May 25, 2018. It governs the processing of personal data consistently across all member states of the European Union.

The GDPR builds upon the French Data Protection Act of 1978, which established rules governing the collection and use of personal data in France.

ACCREDITAX may need to collect certain personal data, particularly to enable users to book an appointment. Below you will find answers to some of the questions you may have regarding the processing of your personal data.

Right to Object to Telephone Marketing

ACCREDITAX may collect users’ telephone numbers when they submit an enquiry through the contact form.
In accordance with Article L223-2 of the French Consumer Code, users are informed that they may register free of charge on the national telephone marketing opt-out list known as BLOCTEL, available at  http://www.bloctel.gouv.fr/.

Bloctel is the official French telephone marketing opt-out register on which consumers may register free of charge in order to avoid receiving unsolicited sales calls from professionals with whom they have no existing contractual relationship, in accordance with French Law No. 2014-344 of March 17, 2014 relating to consumer protection.

The law specifies that professionals, whether acting directly or through third parties on their behalf, are prohibited from contacting consumers registered on this list, except in the cases expressly provided for by law. In particular, you may still receive calls in the following situations:

  • From businesses with which you currently have an active contract.
  • For subscription offers relating to newspapers, magazines, or periodicals.
  • For purposes unrelated to the sale of goods or services, such as:
    – Calls from public authorities
    – Calls from market research and opinion polling organizations
    – Calls from non-profit organizations.
  • If you have freely and unambiguously provided your telephone number for the purpose of being contacted.
